You&#8217;ll definitely need those sunglasses, along with a jacket for cooler evenings that are often ideal for gazing up at a clear starry night&#8217;s sky.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>2. The Hikes<\/h2>\n<p>By the time summer rolls around, the snow will have melted, providing clear trails for enjoying a hike surrounded by spectacular scenery, including a lake, waterfall, mountain, and wildflower views, while breathing in the fresh air and aromatic smell of the pines. There are nearly a thousand miles of trails in Banff National Park, offering everything from short and easy day hikes to strenuous treks in the backcountry. It travels for 143 miles along Highway 93 from Lake Louise to Jasper, providing scenery like no other as it traces the Continental Divide. You can take an excursion to the Grizzly Bear Refuge to visit an orphaned bear, or even paddle in a canoe, watching for wildlife that&#8217;s drawn to the shores of the Bow River. If you want to head out on your own to see creatures here, from June through September both grizzly bears and porcupines may be spotted on the grassy slopes above the start of the trail that winds around Lake Louise.
